Bringing the River Home, One Letter at a Time
Every month, we carefully assemble a little piece of the St. Lawrence River and tuck it into your mailbox. Each edition is thoughtfully handcrafted and inspired by the seasons, the islands, the people, and the timeless stories that make this place so unforgettable. No two months are exactly alike—but every envelope is designed to slow you down, inspire you, and help you reconnect with a place you love.
The Monthly Letter
At the heart of every 1000 Islands Post is an original letter written from Kylie. As a local River Rat, she’ll share her musings with you as the seasons change and as the water level rises and lowers (not too high and not too low please!).
But you you might also hear heartfelt stories about ordinary people, quiet moments, changing seasons, and the enduring beauty of life along the river. Every letter is written exclusively for subscribers and printed on beautiful stationery you’ll want to keep for years to come.
Little Treasures Tucked Inside
Along with your monthly letter, you’ll often discover a collection of handcrafted extras inspired by the river. Some months may include just a few surprises. Others may arrive filled with little keepsakes. That’s part of the magic.

Every Month is Different
One of the things we love most about The 1000 Islands Post is that every mailing is unique. Some months might celebrate the first snowfall. Others might explore island history, local legends, wildlife, or a quiet summer morning on the water. Every piece is perfect for scrapbooking or your journal! You never quite know what will arrive—but you can always expect something created with care, inspired by the river, and meant to be enjoyed slowly.
Handmade with Heart
Every edition is thoughtfully designed by our family. Eric creates much of the artwork. Kylie writes the stories. Together, we assemble every mailing by hand, one envelope at a time. Our hope is simple: That each month, when you open your mailbox, you’ll find a quiet reminder of the place you love—and a reason to slow down for just a little while. Welcome to the river. Welcome to The 1000 Islands Post.
